 This is our own personal design, hand drawn. We designed it around 1920's style craftsmanship. By going two story and correctly placing the house on the lot, we made the most of a small lot. The lot looks twice as big now than when we started. We added some custom features like locust log decks, and tulip poplar bark as accents along the gables, deck bands, and interior. We milled locust for the porch rails, and milled reclaimed Heart Pine for the beams on the interior. This home is energy star certified as well.

 

There is a distinct balance between the construction of dwellings and the land they sit upon. Southern Branches always starts any project with that idea in mind.        Throughout the years, Southern Branches has worked on countless construction sites for different homeowners and builders doing the finish grading, utility lines, structural walls, and landscaping.  We have kept our ears and eyes open to learning new ways of construction in every trade, and we have met and developed friendships and professional relationships with hundreds of local contractors and subcontractors.

Through these experiences and observations, and our own resources such as heavy machinery and dumptrucks, we have developed a system of designing and building things that are very unique, energy efficient, and affordable.
